We are EXTREMELY PROUD of our 4 talented & dedicated sportsmen,
who are now Connacht Rugby Champions in the Community Games.
We wish them all the luck in the world next month as they represent Athenry in the semi final.
Whatever happens, they are champions in our eyes. Go néirí libh, lads!
On 8th April, in Castlebar Rugby Club, we played rugby against St.Marys of Sligo in the Community Games . At the end of the first half, St.Marys were 2 tries up. An the end of the second half the score was 3 tries to 2, to our team, Athenry. We are now the Connacht champions and on the 6th of May we are going to Abbottstown, Dublin to the all Ireland semi final,to play against Two Mile House.
