Sky Sports Awards 2016

6th class were presented with their certificates for participating in the Sky Sport's Challenge. Thank you to Ms Giblin for all the work she did with 6th class. Thank you to their mentor Owen Diviney for giving us the chance to take part in this fantastic project. We were the first school in Ireland to sign up to the Sky Sport's challenge. Congratulations to 6th class. You were amazing!

Awards Assembly 28-6-2016

We had a special assembly today to present the medals to the camogie and hurling teams and to the children who had perfect attendance all year. Congratulations to you all. We are very proud of you. Have a wonderful summer holiday. See you in September 2016!

The wonderful camogie team who made history in the school by becoming the first team to win both the mini 7's competition and the Cumann na mBunscoil county final. Go girls!

We had a very special treat today for the boys and girls of the 13 a side school teams who both had a fantastic year. It was well deserved after all the effort they put in throughout the year.

Thank you to everyone who supported the Art for Astro Exhibition and Auction. The atmosphere was fantastic and it was great to see the children so proud to show their families and friends all the work they had done. Thank you to all involved who helped  make it a great day.

Sports day 2016

What an amazing sports day we had today. 6th class and Ms Giblin did a fantastic job of organising a brilliant  sports day for the whole school. 6th class have been involved in the Sky Sports Challenge and they have been teaching the whole school orienteering and outdoor activities. They have grown in confidence from their participation in the programme. They organised the jumble sale and colour run also as part of the challenge. Thank you Ms Giblin and 6th class for a wonderful day. 

Thank you to the wonderful parents of Newcastle for organising the barbeque again this year. It is the highlight of the school calendar and we all really enjoyed the burgers, hot dogs and drinks provided by the parents. Thank you very much. Thank you to all the parents who came along today.
