Green Flag is Brought Home to Newcastle 2016

I was really excited to be picked to go and receive the Green Schools Flag.

All of the Green Schools Committee put the their names into a hat.  only three

could go. Barry, Rachel and I were chosen to go to the Radisson to receive the Green School Flag.

 On the 18//16 we went to the Radisson. We took a taxi to the train station in 

 Athenry,and took a train into Galway e went to.( Blogged by Daniel)

We walked into the nis Mór ballroom. Barry, Daniel and I got a picture behind a huge converse shoe made of recycled materials. Miss Murphy was very kind and got us all drinks. As we were waiting for ceremony to begin we played dares. When we were finished our drinks we went back into the ballroom. A man gave an interesting speech about how only WE can save our planet. After all the three speeches,they started giving out the green flags. We were the last school to receive our flag..( Blogged by Rachel)

We received the SEVENTH Green Flag for St. Oliver Plunkett N.S. This year we were awarded the flag for "Globlal Citizenship Energy". After the ceremony all of the schools were taken to the restaurant. . There was pasta, mash potato, and vegetables. For desert we had a warm brownie with freshly whipped cream. It was delectable. When everything was finished we walked down to the Train Station to go back to School. While we were on the train Daniel and I were talking to lovely man who had been to the Radisson a few nights before.It was a great day.         (Blogged by Barry)
